Review: Run Fatboy Run

Check Out http://www.icuriousmedia.com

There was a Hollywood Video that was sadly going out of business around where I live, and with only 4 days remaining, they were selling off the rest of their inventory at an incredibly low price. So I walk in there, and noticed that all the good movies were taken, which wasn't surprising. I basically picked out movies that I remember hearing about, or movies where I really liked the actors. One such movie was a Simon Pegg film, who is a British comedian who I remember from Hot Fuzz, called Run Fatboy Run. I absolutely loved Hot Fuzz, so I decided to give it a try, and for 99 cents, you can't go wrong.

So anyways, Run Fatboy run is one of those gems that most Americans would never even see. Although the film didn't make me laugh very much, the story was excellent. I was surprised that I cried on this film, it's extremely heart warming, and that's really what matters. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but definitely take a look at this film. Watch it with your girlfriend and you will be scoring some major points.

With that said I have a pretty big pet peeve, and I just noticed this while walking through Hollywood Video. How come DVD covers look so bad. The studios should realize that most people judge a movie by it's cover, and seeing so many lame covers, I couldn't tell if the film would be good or bad. It's funny how the movie posters look 10 times better than the DVD covers. Why not just stick the same movie poster on the covers as well, instead of hiring a graphic design drop out to redesign a new one.

How Compound Interest Saved my Life

I wasn’t the best student in grade school, quite average actually, and I did a pretty good job underachieving in many of my classes.  This didn’t stop me from learning a valuable lesson in algebra class that eventually saved me from a lifetime of indentured servitude. It’s called compound interest and here is how it works,

I'm On a Boat

This is one of the best things I’ve seen in a long time. I can totally see myself bumping this in my car.

Feeling a bit tired Share

For the last few months a lot of things have happened to me. I got married, started a new job at Michael Stars, I ended up taking some clients on for my side business, and I’m trying to promote this website. When you are doing this many things, you are bound to crash and burn. I pretty much sleep later than I should be sleeping, and I wake feeling like my eyes are on fire. It’s not pleasant to be feeling this way, and on top of that I haven’t been working out as much as I should or taking care of myself very well. I even think that my hygiene hasn’t been up to par these days.

It’s really times like these where I reflect back to my college days, and I realize how wonderful they were. I mean minus the tough classes I had to take, college was very fun for the most part. Especially freshman year, I don’t think my life could ever be that kick back ever again. Freshman year was simply the bomb, because all my classes were a piece of cake, I didn’t work which left me a lot of free time to chill. I played so much basketball, I was literally going to bed with that filthy ball.

So looking into the future, it doesn’t seem like my life will have many moments where things can just slow down. I’ll probably have kids in a few more years, and if my business takes off, I will have to focus solely on that until it becomes stable. Especially with the economy the way it is, I feel that I will probably have to try twice as hard as before, which will mean only one thing, that burning sensation in my eyes won’t be going away anytime soon.

My advice to kids, enjoy your time, because you won’t be getting it back.
